Why does my PC Tower start bleeping after it has been on a while?

For the past month or so my computer has started making a very irritating bleeping noise after the computer has been on a while. It will start bleeping every couple of seconds before stopping for a bit then starting up all over again? Can anybody help me with this??? thanks!!!

It will be some warning beeps because something is going wrong like the processor overheating etc.. These beeps are usually in a specific sequence to narrow down what is faulty. Find out what motherboard you have and visit manufacturers website for info and clues.

it could be the processor reaching high temperature, make sure all air grilles are clear and the fans are working, including the fan on the chip.
