How do I get my grandfather clock to drop left and right weights?

Suddenly my left and right weights in my grandfather clock have stopped dropping. The middle drops just fine. I read an article about something may be wrong with the chime and to open a side panel? Where is this located and what would I need to do?

I just had the same thing happen to my ridgeway gfather clock. the manual said it was sent on the silencer mode. there's a lever on the right side of the clock on mine and it just needed to be switched to the opposite position. it immediately started chiming. I read that the outside weights control the chimes. I hope this works for you because I was seriously worried when the weights weren't dropping on my clock but now they are working.

one weight will be for chiming, one for striking and one to keep it running . all very complex will require repairer
