I got this mp3 player from a friend. He didn't have any problems with it, and it's even still got his music on it, but it won't work for me. I've plugged it into the USB port, and my computer recognizes that it's THERE, the icon shows up in the taskbar to Safely Remove Hardware, and it knows what model the mp3 player is and everything, but it doesn't show up in My Computer. I went to Portable Media Devices from the Control Panel and got it to show up one time, but I couldn't access it from there and it wouldn't even let me reformat it. Now, it doesn't even show up there. I've tried plugging it into different ports and it still down't work. Sooo. How can I access it and add music to it?

I had the same problems. Read the instructions, you need to install the software on your computer... then it works!
