when my boiler isnt on its at 1Bar when the heating is switched on it goes up past 2Bars is this too much of a rise and if so what could be the problem

The presure increases in relation to how hot you run the boiler. if you run it low and the pressure stays lower then run it higher and the pressure increases that is normal.
the only time to worry is if the pressure increass up towards the 3.bar mark or if it rises very quickly.
going from 1 when it s cold up to 2 when it s hot doesnt seem too bad .
