My Sony CFD 565 boom box has a radio, cd, player, and a cassette player recorder. the cassette player has suddenly quit like there is no power going to it, while the cd and radio still work, so does anyone know what to do to get it going again? I think it may be 10 years old. bought new, and never used that much. I tried to clean it with a cleaner, but it doesn't even turn. I cleaned the heads with a q tip, but that is not the problem. it isn't getting any power at all. please help

Where is the "Pause" button located on my CFD-5340 Sony Boom Box? When I insert the CD "Josh Groban's Noel" and the song, "Noel" comes on and it starts to play the song fades out or speeds up. The "Pause" button comes on where the "Play" button is located. I hit the "Play" button again and the song speeds up or it simply fades?

Please help.

My Sony boom box CFD-5350 quit playing when I was listening to the Josh Groban CD "Noel". My boom box displayed "Pause" when I was listening to the song "Noel." I then hit the "play" button and it continued, however, the song faded in and out. I don't know if the CD is worn out or what the problem is. Please help me. Do I need to go to a technician?

I have a similar unit and found that if the 'pause' button is depressed the casette player will not function. This of course is the way it supposed to work, however to re activate the button has to depressed again. It could be that it has been accidentally left on 'pause' earlier.
