How do i fix an epson R300?

My EpsonR300 has an error message -Service required.Parts inside are at the end of there service.
I have read about pressing the three buttons below the screen but nothing happens on it.The printer wont respond to anything.Can anyone help me?

you dont press the three buttons under the screen you press the three that run along the bottom of the panel

Most printers have an expire date on the parts. With Epson the message you are recieving means that you have printed to the maximum allowed. If you take it to a shop all they will do is clean the ink waste pads and reset the counters, which will cost you about £40. But help is out there.
