dont do it...... too dodgy you have to disconnect gas pipe to fire... and the fire forms part of the flue for the boiler and should not be run out of place. NOT DIY JOB.

take the grill off at bottom of fire ,unscrew the 2 screw's that hold the grill on, remove the control knob on the right hand side of the fire ,unplug the connector under the fire and lift off the casing.
