can i change system myself?

I have a 12 rad open vented system. iwish to change to a combi boiler, and get rid of tanks and emersion etc.
I have done loads of diy plumbing, so apart from gas fitting should I be able to tackle this.
If so whats the best plan of action.

d.i.y is a bit different to a whole system change.

you can remove tanks in loft and copper cylinder
then you have to re connect the flow before the pump into the rad flow doing away with pump and valve.
and do away with the return from the cylinder so you only have the rad return.
alter the hot water pipe from the cylinder.
flush the whole system through as the regs state. etc

do you have a shower running off your system
as it may not be compatible with a combi.

why do you wish to change ?
as there is a lot to way up before changing.

a combi may not be in your best interest depending on the size of house,
how many bathrooms.

there are alot better systems than a combi. they have limited lpm.
