I changed my sink and taps in the bathroom but now the hot water runs slow, I used flexible hoses to make up the differance in the original plumbing

Do the new taps have quarter turn ceramic discs ?. This can cause a flow problem on low pressure gravity fed systems.
Check with your supplier and replace if necesary. Alterantivly upgrade your entire heating and hot water system to mains pressure ? you may find the later SLIGHTLY more expensive though :(
