Seems you are not alone with this problem - have seen many, many posts with the same problem - contacting Kodak is futile if out of warranty - tho I suspect an obvious defect in this product and at a cost of $400 when purchased expected it to last more than 2 years. One repair shop, I contacted said they do not repair this model LS 443 as company does not manufacture parts any more. and yet they still sell them. Hopefully no one will purchase this camera if they want a product to last more than 2 years.
