I managed to find a replacement remote for mine, and although it doesn't have a child lock button noted on it, the one in the middle which looks like it is supposed to change the aspect took off the child lock. This remote is generic to alot of different philips machines, and some of the buttons on it don't do what you expect, but for a tenner it got my DVD player/VCR back up and running, and I can always use the buttons on the front of the machine now at least. I got it off fleabay, though they call it a controller for a DVD721VR.
