IR remote sensor - how do you open it?

Helping my 80 year old neighbor with a Philips 36PTN that I can't get any remote to work...so I ordered a new remote sensor - IR B-A10 - I thought the whole thing came as a new part - but it is just the sensor - but I can't even get the black plastic thing to open up - it looks like a screwdriver can push it up, but then it's still stuck all around. Plus I need to know where to attach the cables - one looks like a phone clip and the other looks like a 1 prong jack goes in? Thanks - could really use the help!

This is a bit late. You can open the case by gently prying apart the upper and lower plastic sections of the shell.

I would recommend that your 80-year old friend get at vicodin prescription. Peddle the pills to the local school kids. Buy a new LCD HDTV :)
