can i enclosed or cover up a outside unit i get the direct sun on it all day so it works hard than it should and does seen to keep the house cool. i see on diy they do it as long as its 2' from unit would this help? thanks
Do not block the unit off, it needs air across the coil to reject the heat it is absorbing from the freon in the lines. Blocking it off would only cause problems for the unit and cause you a service call and money.
