Why can't I reset the time to BST on my Matsui VP9501 OP VCR?

I have a Matsui VP9501 OP VCR, which is old, but gives excellent service. Now that we have changed to British summer time I tried to reset the clock to one hour ahead. The new time displays for a while, but then reverts back to the old setting. Anyone got any ideas, please? I've tried switching off the power and letting it run through the 'auto tune' sequence.

I don't have that model, i have a VP9601N which had the same "feature". However it appears it follows another timezone's summer time as mine has mysteriously set itself to BST now when this time last week it was resolutely on GMT.

So i guess just leave it to sort itself out!
