I have an IBM Thinkpad that has error message?

I have an IBM Thinkpad that has error message 192, 161 and 163? Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it?

Below is the error code and solution:

161(Dead battery.)
1. Replace the battery.

163(Time and date were not set.)
1. Set time and date.

192(Fan error.)
1. Measure the voltage of the backup battery. If the
voltage is not correct, replace the backup battery.

ThinkPad is a brand and there have been umpteen models over the years and you don't say what yours is. However generically your backup battery has failed.

Go to www.lenovo.com and download a manual for your machine. It will tell you how to replace the backup battery.
