it'ss either a bad hall sensor or
using to much detergent(suds lock)
unplug the unit for a min or so
then press spin speed and soil level at the sametime
then push big selector
1-tumbles clock wise 40-50 RPM
2-low speed 0-600 rpm
3-high speed 600-1000 or more rpm
if it spins up to 1000 rpm (in display will read (X10) speed
then you have a sudsing problem
if it just rumbles back and forth...then halll sensor
which could just be loose wire in harnwess end
hope this helps

If you have a problem with your washing machine I really suggest you IGNORE the `answers` posted on this website. It’s full of people who obviously don’t know what they are talking about!!! I just found the manual on LG`s website and the code LE stands for `over load in motor` and not lock error as suggested by Phil below. Phil why would you post an answer when you evidently are not qualified to???

Hi

I seem to have the same problem you discribed, did you manage to fix it??

David Boyd, February 2008
LE = LOCK ERROR BASICLY WIRING TO THE DOOR LOCK IS FAULTY
