Scary question as it could be just about anything - I guess you've checked the fuse, plug and cable.
Maybe look at the answer to the question about the WM51 on/off switch as that's a common one. Sometimes if that is the problem, it's just a bit dodgy at first and you can get it to work by slamming the door shut or by slapping the door near the catch. Not very scientific, but you wouldnt be looking here if you just wanted the answer "get someone in".
But you'd need to narrow it down a bit for better advice.. how did it fail, how old is it, how heavily used, any previous repairs....
