No the red light is not flashing, but stays on. There is no sound and no picture. Frst, it was intermittent, then it was permanent. Its a tube tv. Please give me more information?

That happened to ours last week. Is the red light blinking in the front at the bottom when you turn it on? We had to get a new chip that had something to due with voltage - cost $350.
