I opened up my door lock (standard-yale type) to see why it was sticking. The spring popped out before i could see where it was supposed to sit, and how it was attached. I can't figure out how to put it back. Help please!

the spring is designed to push the brass latch outwards, so the loop in the sprong fits over where the screw would hold the back plate on and the two protuding? parts of the spring fit against the back of the latch pushing it out to fit into the keeper... it would be easier to draw it LOL..
