Help!!!! still no pilot light potterton netaheat 10-16 boiler ?

Have called the Potterton help line & they say i need to purge the system , but wouldn't tell me how to do this unless i was corgi reg ... has anyone got any ideas on how to do this , fan kicks in ok & can hear the pilot trying to light but without any joy .

Thanks for your reply , i tried to call the gas board & they simply said "nowt to do with them & to call a corgi reg plumber " So at a loss really , but still dont know what purge the system means ?

Hi again David so nowt worked then, well purging the system is what i was trying to get you to do but anouther thing is if the gas was cut off by the gas board out side you should ring them and they should send someone round to relight it for you for free

gas supply was cut off yersterday for 6 b hours & it was working fine , but when supply went back on the boiler failed to light , Yes have other gas appliances & all workinking fine !!
Potterton say i need to purge the system , but i hav'nt the foggiest what they mean .

how long has it been trying to ignite for? do you have any other gas appliances?
