Servicing a baxi bermuda 572?

I live in North London and I have a baxi bermuda 572, I contacted british gas and asked if they could carry out a maintenance plan on my boiler but they refused, stating that they could no longer get parts and they would do me a nice replacement boiler fitted for over £5000.
Are there any Corgi Registered Engineers out there who service this boiler?
To add, the boiler works fine and I have a couple of grills on the fire place missing. Does anyone have spare parts?
Many Thanks

Thanks for this thread! just got a thermocouple fom the same company above as mine is faulty. Again British Gas refused to cary out a service and quoted me over £7k for replacement> again mine is 40 years old and normally works v well!

Hi Michael,

I have the same model which is now 35 years old and, like yours, still working fine.

I do my own maintenance in terms of cleaning the build-up of carbon from the internal apertures of the water jacket by using a fairly wide bottle brush from the top and sides, as described in the installation manual ( a copy of which I still have). Just make sure that the burner tray is covered to prevent ingress of carbon.

I have recently replaced a couple of radiants and the thermocouple, which I find needs replacing every few years, which I sourced from:

Hope this has been of help.
