I have a Kenmore 80 Series washing machine. When it gets to the spin cycle, it will not turn the tub unless you help it get started by spinng the tub by hand. I tipped the machine foward and noticed oil splatter on the inside sides.

when turning the bowl freehand it should be easy to turn and no grinding, also oil escapping from the transmissions will give u an indication on the spinning problems with seals going maybe the bearing are 2 :( if the machine is washing ok but not spinning then the starter capicator is considered ok
