Flames question?

When my back boiler lights lots of fire explodes from the fire, then there is a very stong smell of gas. The heating and hot water work fine. The plumber next door says this is normal. is this normal as my new carpet is being ruined. PS i keep getting headaches and feeling sick, but I think its just flu.

your boiler is sooted up and needs serviced cleaned and teleganned to make sure there is no co present also make sure you have the correct ventilation as the ventilation requirements for your boiler will be undersized if you have any at present also the regulation is changing as off june 2008 i advise you get this checked out asap

don't use it untill you have had it checked by an "engineer" not a plumber. make sure you use someone recommended by someone you trust.
