a problem with f-o8 what does that mean

The water in the drawer won't empty so I can't fill the drawer with fabric softener. Does anyone have this problem?

Claire O'Brien, April 2013
When I press the on button for 3 seconds the door locks and you think it's going to start. But then the water never starts. Have tried re-booting and all sorts of permutations to get it working, to no avail.

my indesit 1200 WE12 washing machine not spinning. how to fix this?

jacy, January 2012
just done mine i had f-05 flashing so i took off the bottom front panel (just clips off) then turn the black swith anti clockwise and the remaining water will then empty from here .then lean the machine backwards and you will clearly see the pump held on by to posi screws then with a pair of pliars compress the springs around the 2 pipes to pull each pipe off then pull off the 2 wire plug connector and remove the pump . remove all blockages i found 26p and a few pieces of debri lol then put back in reverse order and all sorted .

I am getting the error message F-08, can anyone help?

Susan Goodlad, April 2010
excellent! we had the same prob- F5 showing and the drum not emptying. did as everyone else recomended. Took off bottom front panel, had to use pliers to turn the black plug anti clockwise and open. The filter was full of rubbish and lots of money! Couldn't believe it was working at all! WE MADE £3.81 !

Yup, there was the large safety pin wrapped around the little wheel inside the filter chamber....hoorah hoorah, now spinning happily. Lots of water leaked out when we unscrewed the filter tho, so beware!

I had an error message F-05. I took of the front bottom panel. You have to lift it about 5mm and then pull! Then unscrew anti clockwise the large black plug. Then like we found you will find some money and some plastic shirt collar stiffeners!

I had a loud noise from my Indesit when it was emptying and looked on this site for advice. Rich and Netrix are quite right, I took the front-bottom panel off, undid the cicular pump cover, it was a bit tight so we used a can opener as a large screwdriver, and removed the blockage. We fixed the problem and made £1.03 (the blockage) on the deal.

Our Indesit Revoloution 1200 started doing the same yesterday. I found the pump rotor blocked with a piece of material that had wormed it's way through the system. I went the long way round - tipped the machine on it's side, disconnected all the pump hoses and electrical connector then unscrewed and removed it. Annoyingly I then realised that I could have just removed the plastic guard from the bottom front of the machine, unscrewed the round plastic cover and fished out the blockage!

It sound like the pump is blocked. You need to take the base plate off the bottom front of the washing machine. Then you wil see the pump. detach the pum hose or take the pump of and you will probably see somethign blocing it. Re-fit and then get ithe machine to empty - stry spin cycle and that shoudl do it.
