on a baxi 105e hot water temp wont turn down?

on a baxi 105e the tempreture of the hot water will not turn down even when turned down on the stat. is this just the stat thats gone?

could be the hot water temp sensor, its inside the boiler and clips to the hot water pipe, look in the book that came with the boiler,
