Was looking at some images from a CD when all stopped working. Operation of any buttons on the remote control or front panel had no effect. Disconnected mains, leaving it for a few minutes, switching back on has no effect. All that shows sign of life is the stand by lamp. Any comments welcome

SAME PROB HERE MATE,BUT WHEN I DISMANTLED THE PSU I NOTICED THE RESISTOR R24= 1000 OHM (1K) WAS GRILLED AND DEAD ( NO READING OR BUZZING ON DIGITAL METER).
REPLACING THE RESISTOR SHOULD CURE THE PROBLEM.

Found the reason for the problem.
On the remote contol unit one of those daft little rubber buttons was stuck "down" in it's recess. So all you operators of Matsui remote controls beware.
