How come my Sagem ITD58G freeview box can't find any channels?

Hi All

Hope you can help me - this is driving me absolutely crazy!

I bought a Sagem ITD58G freeview box from Argos, exactly a year ago. Followed the set-up instructions, checked and re-checked my connections (with the SCART and white coaxial cable), but the box wouldn't find any channels at all from my roof top aerial. I was so frustrated I was convinced it was a problem with the aerial not being able to pick-up digital reception, so I contacted my landlord. He bought along his handy man who normally deals with Sky, and fixed the problem in seconds - 'there's nothing wrong with it' etc etc.

Problem is, I can't remember what the guy did to fix it. Now I live in a different flat with a roof top aerial, and same thing has happened. Ok terrestrial signal (with exception of Channel 4), but no digital channels found when trying to use the freeview box.

I've checked and re-checked - Coaxial aerial cable running from aerial wall socket to RF In on the box, SCART attaching the box and the TV, power supply from the box to power socket - but obviously I must be missing something.

Please help - this is driving me nuts and I hate not having the digital telly that I was used to last year in the old flat!

Thank you thank you!

If you can't get Channel Four then your aerial signal is the problem and it could be many things: Alignment, bad connectors, bad connection in the wall plate, etc. Nothing to do do with SCARTs, Power supplies, WHY.

There is not an easy answer to this. You just have an aerial problem.
