How can I fix my Matsui DVD225?

I have never had a problem with my Matsui DVD225 until recently. When I put a DVD disc in the machine, it keeps coming up with the message 'Disc unknown'.

Can anyone help me with this problem?

Dirty or bad laser. Try a cleaner. If that doesn't fix it buy a new player as budget boxes aren't worth repairing.
