how can i remove downloads from my hard drive?

i want to free up more space on my hard drive. how can i remove downloads that are no longer needed?

Downloads can be held in different places, depending on what you used to download them e.g. IE, Firefox, download utility, etc. so look for folders called 'my downloads' or just 'downloads'. Now just delete the stuff that you find in those folders. Then defrag your disk

goto control panel> ad remove programmes> check list of installed software anything no longer required higlight and remove
if after removing a few progs the suggest you do defrag afterwards, goto my computer> C:/ drive properties >tools> defrag
