How to replace sython, when bolts rusted on?

Can anyone tell me how to take off close coupled cistern, when the wing nuts and bolts are rusted on.Is sawing through the bolts the only way to get it off, or is there a easier way?

Try a decent pair of water pump pliers first. After that
sawing the bolts is the method I use most depending on whats to hand.
A dremel would be my method of choice if I had it handy.
A 4 or 4½ inch angle grinder is only an option if you reckon you can get in there and use it safely.

Safety first. Wear gloves if sawing and use eye protection as well for power tools
