why does the dlp bulb on my tv blow out?

why does the bulb in my mitsubishi dlp tv keep blowing out prematurely i have a 65 inch rear projection dlp tv about 2 years old the model before the new ones that are out now i have gone through three of them

1. you smoke in the same room.
2. the room is too hot.
3. your house has air bourne particulates. (dust)
4. you touch the lens when instaling it.
5. you lose power alot and the bulb cannot cool properly

These 5 things are major factors in why your bulbs are burning out. Most bulbs don't die prematurly... they are murdered. keep em cool and clean and they will last 3 to 5 thousand hours.

check your on screen menu settings for a quick turn -on setting.You want to deactivate that feature.Also make sure the tv is not pluged into the back of your cable box,The set must be plugged into the ac outlet at all times.When you shut these sets off,the fans inside should be allowed to cool down the lamp and thus prolong the life of it.
