Turn Off Copyright Protection?

Hi: I have an older (mid-80s) Panasonic Omnivision TV that has a built-in video player. I bought a DVD player (Go Video, DVP853) , and the copyright protection makes the screen go very dark every few seconds. I have been told that it is becaues the DVD signal somehow has to go through the video player --? I tried the RH box or whatever it's called, and it didn't do a thing. Does anyone have any suggestions?

this is a problem with macrovision on your dvd player, you need a hack to disable it.
the following hack will make it region free but i cant find a way to disable macrovision.

First of all you turn on the dvd player.
Next you have to press eject.
After you eject the drive you have to Press setup.
Finally you press 3333 on the remote control.
Secret menu comes up
Go to the one that says "0." for multi-regions

This hack allows you to play a vcd.
