how can I fix my emachines 420 pc?

I was having problems with my printer so I decidedto un-install printer and then reinstall. My printer is HPF380. I deleted all files referring to HP hoping that when I re installed my printer all files needed would be installed. My cd rom is not reading info into pc.Neither is my dvd reader. Any suggestions.

Go to HP's website and download the driver files from there. This should be free. Follow their instructions to instal the printer. Now your printer should work.
If the drives don't read serval disks (as it maybe a fault with the CD), and they have done previously (without anyone opening the case in between) the number of reasons they don't work is limited. It could be a setting in the BIOS which is out (which would probably cause Windows not to show them in 'My Computer', or not show them as DVD or CD drives). Find a website dedicated to setting up computer BIOS's for more info. OR the files that Windows uses to make them work could have become damaged, so find them in Device Manager (Right click 'My Computer', then properties, then on the 'Hardware' tab then click the 'Device Manager' button, assuming you're using Windows XP), and uninstall them (click on them so they're blue, and press delete). Reboot and hope they start working.
OR It could possibily be that they both have an internal problem, which can only be proved by replacing them with ones which are know to be working and correctly set up, which then work in the computer.
