How do I reformat a computer? I have installed a program incorrectly.

try using sytem restore if your running xp go back to a date before you installed the bad prog

basically reformating means wiping everything off and re-installing windows. well if you for the windows CD, simpy pop it in the drive and it will take care of the rest. you usually get an option of formating first with windows 2000 or xp.

The CDROM must be set as the first boot device. you can change this in the bios if need be.

what windows are you running 95/98/me/xp/2000
Can you give more info to problem you may not need to reformat?
what program has caused this problem?
if running windows xp turn your pc on and immediatly hold down F8 key which will bring options menu up look for last known good configuration choose this option
try that and see if that works
