hi, i,m running windows xp home and everytime i start my pc i get 2 error messages. the first 1 says (your sql server installation is either corrupt or has been tampered with could not open sqlevn70.rll please uninstall then re-run set up to correct this problem).
the second 1 says (execution cannot continue as the language dependent resource file c:/program files/microsoft sql server/80/tool/binn/resources/2057/sqlsvc.rll) could not be loaded. also can any1 tell me how to access bios setting. thanks

you have to reinstall so buy an XP disk.

Hi toni

just like to say have you got a spare XP cd - you would need to reinstall XP - but you can try doing other things before this I.E. system restore or Using Last Know Good Configuration -
as for BIOS i will tell you but do not adjust anything in there since it is nothing to do with the above issue - if you change something and you do not know what you have done - you can stop your machine from even booting up - when switching on your machine press F5 continuosly if that does not work restart your machine and try pressin DEL key repeatidly - hope that helps any more Q's let me know
