Can I fit a shower to a combi boiler?

I would like to fit a shower but not electric.We have a combi boiler. There is a sink near to where I would like the shower, can I take the hot and cold water from that sink to the shower.

we have a shower fitter on a combi. Water is fed directly from a tee off from both hot and cold water outlets then fed through an equalising valve. ours has worked great for the last ten years
