Rohan (or anyone!),
Did you ever fix your problem - we have exactly the same fault, hot water doesn't work but the heating comes on instead.
Cheers
Sal.
Both Power light and lock out are both illuminated and there is about 8 inches of oil left in the tank.

I am currently going through this process. My boiler maintenance guy thought it was the divertor. Got boiler engineer to replace at £250 cost and no change. Got my maintenance guy back in and after a lot of humming and hawing he is now convinced it is the flow switch causing the problem. he is now trying to see if replacement part available and getting back to me. Will let you know outcome.

Have started having a very similar problem to the one you have described and am very reluctant to call out an engineer as last time it cost me £600 to repalce a couple of parts. If you get any answers to your queries would you be kind enough to pass them on, many thanks
