how can i fix my Advent 3512?

Computer powered down without warning and will not go back on. Tried changing PSU but no luck. Was wondering if it was motherboard and if so can you change it without having to buy a new processor as well?

Yes you can change the motherboard without changing anything apart from the power supply which you have already done. the processor socket goes wrong on these and emachine motherboards. a simple board replacement is all that is required, not a new pc like a "certain shop" will tell you. I can get these motherboards easily.
