How can I fix a Old school Nintendo Game Boy?

The Game boy is not responding with sound or visual with new batteries and an operational game inserted. Battery light also not responding.
This is an original non colour game boy:
Model No. DMG-01
British version
Item No. G26902370

You need a 6 volt power supply and plug it in to get it to restart... finding one is easy but the size of the plug needs to be smaller than the ususual.

I have the same problem. sooooooooooooo mad. I recently found my step father's old school game boy. I out some new batteries in it but didn't have any games. so it WAS turning on with nothing in it. the light came on and you could hear the speaker static. Then i found a game (Pokemon yellow) and it immediately stopped working.
