Is it possible to repair leaking basin taps that have so called ceramic internals rather than the traditional tap washers. Tap washer cost pennies replacement ceramic disc inserts £ 20 - £30.

limescale is the common cause of these being faulty.
it can scratch the disc inside and of cause let water by.
try removing them and give them a good clean or soak in limescale remover if this doesn't work which not always does it's time for new cartridge.
