what do philips say about the lines problem on our LCDs...dont they have an obligation towards their customers?
If its a design problem why cant they own up and then we can return these good looking , non-working tvs!

Hi all. I have just had this fault presented to me on a friends 3 year old set. I've just carried out the modification shown here:
http://teleservice.xooit.fr/t46-MODIFICATION-DALLE-LCD-QD26-EQUIPER-CHEZ-PHILIPS-ET-THOMSON.htm
Got the set working & is watchable, but has about three vertical lines faulty near the right-hand side. A new LCD panel is required for a 100% repair.

mines has just done the same, only 3 years old, seems like it could be an inherent fault therefore if u fight it u should get ur money back.

am gonna try, nothing to lose in writing a few e-mails/letters.

Heya, I have the same model TV and the exact same problem. I have bright verticial lights which then eventually turn into a green or purple screen then completely black after roughly 30-40minute of being on. Just wondering, has anybody taken theres to a TV Repair centre and gotten it fixed??
Please let me know!
Thanks.

Bad news the fault as posted is due to the LCD Screen assy, this is not a repairable part. Price £670.00

Hi I've had mine for 3 years and has just started doing the same thing but takes longer and longer to get the picture back by turning on and off. I think there is a fault on this model as I've seen a few similar posts else where. Have you found a solution at all?

I Have same model and had the same problem, Argos had engineers to fix it, they had it for 6 weeks but after 1 month back in house the screen now goes completely green and you have to turn it off to sort it out, and also the screen goes black with a square of white dots in top left hand corner, Argos now say it is out of warranty and I need an to pay for engineers report to find out if it is a manufacturing fault

Eric, I've got the same model of TV, and have developed exactly the same problem in the last few days. brightly coloured vertical lines when you switch on - so far this has cleared up after about 30 min of warming up, and if you keep switching off and on it goes away eventually, but its not fixed. I see there is also a 26PF3320 on Ebay at the moment that is exactly the same, going for £40 - is this yours? if not thats three with exactly the same problem. I don't know how to fix this as such, but maybe we should stay in touch if its an inherent problem with this model.
