press the preset buttons the amount of times coresponding with the code -- preset 1 four times if the code is 4 ,preset 2 5 times if the second number is 5 etc

waited 45 mins for the radio to change from secure to code but dont know how to put the second number of the code in, which is 1. Tried the way this site shows www.davidsonelectronics.co.uk/code_entry.htm but doesnt work, any suggestions.
