How can I fix an old mantle clock?

This is a turn o the century mantle clock that works but the hour chime is about 4 hours off. There is a small stem at the top of the clock that turns with the end of the key. Is that an adjustment for the chime or is there some other way to adjust it?

if it chimes a different hour than it is showing you can remove small pin (the pin should be tapered so make sure you push out the wider end )and take hands off and align them properly then push pin back through small hole or it may be a screw cap over hands just unscrew and take hands off this may help good luck
