i have put an new seal on the drum/gasket of my washing machine?

i`ve replaced the seal on the gasket/drum of my machine but it keeps coming off.

if it keeps coming off you have not got under the inner band lip and the retaining ring has not been tightened up enough to hold the door gasket seal
