Our heating and hot water work
But now when the heating switches off the hot water no longer continues to work
We need the heating to be on (all radiators are turned off) for the hot water to work
When in water mode there is no flame yet when the timer moves onto heating +hot water everything is fine any advice before we are conned into a new boiler

I appear to have the same problem with my Ariston euro combi as Linden.
I have spoken to Aristons technical manager who suspects the problem may be a blockage on the plate heat exchanger rather than an issue with the flow switch.
I havent managed to get a technician to look at it yet so was wondering whether Howard Hughes' solution worked for Linden? any luck??

We have the same issue - the engineer told me that the water pressure is too low for the boiler to light when just using hot water - so you need to increase the boiler pressure up to about 1.5 bar - there will be a tap underneath the boiler - turn it on and you'll hear water running - look at the dial on the middle bottom of the boiler until it reaches 1.5, then switch off - now your hot water should work without the heating on ;-)

possibly its the dhw flow switch not making or cruded up

don't buy a new boiler! if its working on ch its not dead, and just needs repairing (hate the 'new boiler' crews!)
