how can i fix a vokera boiler?

how do I fix a pressure problem on a Vokera Compact 24 Boiler? The pressure goes to 3 bar in the red & when I release the air through the valve on the pressure vessel to 1 bar the pressure returns to 3 bar within 10 minutes. the heating system is switched off at this point.when the pressure is at 3 bar + water comes out the pipe putside the house

the cheapest way to repair this would be to contact Vokera and ask for a repair, £175 inc parts, labour and vat - the cheapest heat exchanger trade price I've found is £122 + vat!

when you say release the air from the valve do you mean open the pressure relief valve and let water out as you should not be releasing air from vessel?????????????

if you mean water pressure keeps increasing even when boiler turned off then filling loop passing or exchanger has failed. disconnect filling loop as it should be...(temporary filling loop) to see if its passing even though it appears to be turned off. if its ok then you may have a slightly dearer problem of exchanger.

or if you have been releasing air from tyre type valve then you'll need to find some more and put it back :-)
