Glow-worm 65,000 bthu boiler thermostat?

My boiler thermostat does not cut out until water reaches the highest setting. Do I need to get a new thermostat ? or can you advise me what else I can do. My boiler is thirty years old but has given me great service. Please advise me where I can buy a new thermostat if required.

theres nothing you can really do if it needs a new thermostat then it needs a new thermostat. if altering the stat on the boiler does nothing then it needs replaced, your boiler might only be going off cos its reaching a high limit which is a kind of end of the line safety device.

its definately your system water getting to extreme temperatures not your hot water?

30 years old?? average good working life span for gas appliance 10-15 year.
many go on further dont get me wrong but your carbon footprint must be the size of bigfoots ha ha only kidding dont get me started on politics either :-)
