I have a virus that shuts my laptop off?

as soon as I turn ON the wireless card. If I have it hard wired to the router everything is fine but as soon as I try to go wireless, the screen turns blue for a second and restarts.

I don't think that this is a virus - It sounds more like a bad driver for the wireless card.

Uninstall the wireless adapter in the device manager and then either search for new hardware or sitch off the computer and then on again.
This will re-install the device adapter driver.
