How do i replace an 'espag' type upvc window handle off if i don't have the key? I know i can order a new handle from the web, so i'm happy to replace it myself but i can't get the handle off the window. I removed the screw but the handle will not move and i don't want to force it. What are my options?

Thanks for the info. I was a bit concerned about forcing the lock as i live in rented flat. In the end i drilled the lock barrel out so i could get to the other fixing screw. Worked a treat :)

just force the handle open,you will only damage handle and not the espag,this is the easiest way to open it.hope this helps
