Can you explain the red light on my diplomat dishwasher?

A red light is always lit on the end of my dishwasher, it is not the salt light but the one next to that?

Hi Mel, it may be the rinse aid light. Now most people use 3 in 1 tablets etc,these warning lights can be ignored as a softener and rinse aid is built into the tablet.
